Development of the Smart Irrigation System Based On Real-Time Data for Sustainable Agriculture in Pakistan
Product Details
Pakistan is an agricultural country. According to WORLD BANK and Asian Development Bank (ADB), 29% to 32% GDP of Pakistan is dependent upon agriculture. Farmers have been in problems with checking proper soil conditions for safe crops and also checking water supply every time, when to stop the water supply. Farmers have to take advice from agricultural experts paying extra money for them when they need a proper direction. So, in this case, we proposed the project Smart Irrigation System Based On Real-Time Data for Sustainable Agriculture in Pakistan to save water, time, and money and increase the growth of the crop. In our project, we used Arduino, a microcontroller, Temperature, Humidity, Soil moisture sensor which collects various data of the soil and depend on soil moisture value when the moisture level will get low system will automatically start the water supply and when the moisture will reach to its level the supply will stop automatically. And with that system, we are also developing a mobile application where the farmer can check easily real-time data and can also control the water supply for crops on daily and weekly basis.
