An outdoor air purifier is a device which will detect pollutants in the air, and
convert them into clean air, regulating a fresh environment. It is aimed for outdoor
purification, and is powered by solar panels, thus making it energy independent.
The device is equipped with suction fan to adequately pull out the pollutant filled
air, and pass it through HEPA filters which are proven to omit 99.97% of dust,
pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm)
Our report presents the installation of this air purifier in Pakistan where pollution is
a rising issue and a grave health hazard, where this device could prove to be
revolutionary. The report highlights the significance and the benefits of this device
and explains each individual point in detail to allow careful measures regarding
their usefulness. It also addresses the current problems in the system and how the
installation would help to combat them.
Our methods of data analysis include a mixture of both, qualitative and quantitative
research and analysis. We sent google forms of close ended and open-ended
questions, user reviews and surveys to collect our data. Our questionnaires and
user reviews were given positive responses. Our data collected is presented in this
report.
This report further mentions the feasibility of the air purifier, some problems or
difficulties that may arise regarding their installation and use, and then gives a set
of solutions to named problems. The financial aspects are also covered in depth.
Through our extensive research we have concluded that their installation would be
greatly beneficial for Pakistan, and the environment as well.
